Specializing in traditional BBQ fare, this laid-back gem invites you to savor boldly flavored, slow-smoked meats served in a rustic, picnic table–style setting that perfectly complements its relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Brisket, a crown jewel that has been lovingly slow-smoked for 14 hours to achieve that glistening, tender texture and rich, smoky depth that instantly melts in your mouth. Each bite reveals a beautifully charred bark, seasoned with just salt, pepper, and smoke, that delivers a satisfying crunch before yielding to the luscious, juicy interior. Alongside the brisket, you’ll find a hearty selection of meticulously smoked offerings like pulled pork, beef ribs, garlic link sausage, turkey breast, and a whole smoked chicken—all prepared using premium, all-natural meats such as Creekstone Prime Grass Fed beef and Compart Farms’ prime pork, underscoring CorkScrew’s commitment to quality.
The diverse menu extends beyond meats, boasting sides that match the meats’ bold flavors with comforting classics like creamy macaroni and cheese, smoky baked beans, crisp coleslaw, and tangy potato salad. Don’t miss the pulled pork tacos, a surprising crowd-pleaser that layers smokiness with fresh ingredients to create a soul-satisfying bite. And for dessert, the cherry and apple cobblers provide a sweet, homey finish, their warm, fruity richness capturing the essence of Texas comfort food perfectly.
Complement your meal with refreshing beverages like sweet tea or a selection from their beer offerings, which round out the experience beautifully. The atmosphere at CorkScrew BBQ is wonderfully inviting and unpretentious—think picnic tables, friendly service, and a buzzing crowd of barbecue lovers who often come from miles around just to get a taste of this legendary spot.

Corkscrew BBQ is a must-visit for authentic Texas barbecue. The picnic table–style setup sets the perfect laid-back vibe, while the menu delivers on every level — tender, juicy meats, classic sides, and refreshing drinks. We devoured pulled pork, smoked garlic link sausage, brisket, tacos, and mac & cheese — everything was absolutely mouthwatering. The tacos were loaded and soul-satisfying, and the service was relaxed and friendly. Corkscrew is a top pick for your next BBQ feast.
This is the absolute best BBQ ever. Three of us dined here and here's what we tried, and all of it was the best: BBQ sandwich, pulled pork, loaded baked potato, potato salad, baked beans, side salad, and peach cobbler. (even the soda was different and delicious!) Everyone was pleasant and truly hoping our experience was superb. Anytime I'm visiting Texas I will be eating Corkscrew BBQ. You'll love it. The atmosphere was down home welcome. Catherine Roberts
Was surprised to see a Michelin rated BBQ place, but well worth the hype. Brisket was perfect. The turkey was moist and the ribs were good. Excellent sides and cobbler. Be prepared to wait. This is a well known establishment and people drive from miles around to eat here.
So the food was delicious. I got some brisket, their staple, it was some of the best I've had and I go driving for BBQ . The garlic sausage was also tasty. The pulled pork was nice and smokey and not dry like some places I've been. The Tacos were also surprisingly tasty. My wife loved them. Didn't get to the turkey or ribs; I'll have to check those at supper tonight. The peach cobbler was great. It was as good as my grandma's, and she is known for her cobbler, creamy cobbler, and crunchy crust with perfect sugar and cinnamon, maybe a hint of nutmeg, but I'm not positive. Warning: The line is long, so we went there at 11, and it was 12:15 before we got our food. I'm not sure if they run out daily, but the parking was still full when we left. There is overflow parking about a block away, which was $10. We came in a compact car and found a space near the entrance. If I owned the place, I'd put out some 4x4 timbers to mark the spots. It's a gravel lot and everyone parked more than a door width away. I could have parked in several of the spaces between cars but would not have been able to get out. . I'll be going back again to try some of the other items.
The Brisket is the crown jewel: slow-smoked for 14 hours, it’s a glistening slab of tender, marbled beef. The bark is dark and crusty, seasoned with just salt, pepper, and smoke, while the inside is so juicy and tender that it pulls apart with the touch of a fork. Each bite melts in your mouth, rich with that deep, smoky flavor that only comes from hours of love and low heat. Next to it, ribs—pork or beef, Both are thick, and sticky—dripping with a love that’s been kissed by smoke and heat. The meat pulls clean from the bone, leaving a pink smoke ring that proves its pedigree. There’s a hint of flavor in the rub, more than enough to keep you coming back for another bite. And if you need a break from the that, there’s always a cold glass of sweet tea or a local beer to wash it all down. This isn’t just food—it’s an experience. The kind that lingers on your tongue and in your memory long after the last bite. Great choice when in the area.
Go early and get a number as theres around 26 numbers available, once you get a number you can come back around 10.30am before the doors open. We had the moist brisket, beef ribs, pork ribs, queso and pico de gallo to share. Firstly the beer ribs are amazing, juicy with a great hit of smoke flavour. Do yourself a favour and pair the beef ribs with doritos chips, pico de gallo and top it with queso and you have the best nacho in a mouthful. The crispy chips and hint of fresh and spice from the pico balances cheesy queso and fatty beef rib like a match made in bbq heaven. The brisket was very good, the pork ribs were also good but I preferred thr beef ribs any day of the week. The peach cobbler was the perfect sweet end to the meal and we left satisfied. The line is intense so definitely go early, we got there at 8.30am on a Saturday and got number 10, so we could walk around and explore.
Corkscrew BBQ is really delicious and the flavor was amazing. The atmosphere was great, and I loved having the option to sit either inside or outside. I would have to say the service was just okay — no one greeted us when we came in, and the cashier didn’t welcome us; he just looked at us and waited for us to order. Other than that, the place has a nice family atmosphere and is overall really awesome.
I was visiting from out of town to try this Michelin star barbecue restaurant and it really did live up to my expectations! I got the ribs, brisket, and mac n cheese. The ribs were well seasoned, and had a little kick to them from the chili flakes. I will say, they could have been a little more tender! On the other hand, the brisket was melt in your mouth soft and deliciously smoky. The barbecue sauce was nice but nothing special. The Mac n cheese was just okay. I prefer a Mac n cheese that has a sharper cheddar, but this tasted a bit flat and more so like an Alfredo Mac. If that’s your vibe, you’d enjoy this one! The biggest issue I had with this place is the LONG, LONG line. We waited for almost two hours to just put our order in. After that, there’s a wait to even get your food. I understand that it’s a popular spot, but they definitely need to update the way they serve customers! For such a long wait, I think you can find a better barbecue spot in Texas.
